Archimedes Bibiano is a Mindfulness Meditation and Adaptive Yoga Teacher certified by Mindful Life Yoga and by the The Awareness Training Institute and Greater Good Science Center at the University of California at Berkeley. He has been studying and practicing meditation for over 35 years, twenty of which have been dedicated to teaching classes, workshops and seminars at schools, hospitals, universities, museums and community & meditation centers in the United States and Latin America. Since 2004, Archimedes has been working with pediatric patients in the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, teaching meditation and yoga to children and their families, as well as to nurses, physicians, and clinical researchers. In the last decade, he’s been teaching to medical students, interns and fellows with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In addition, he regularly teaches “Take Time to Meditate”, a meditation workshop offered to all Mount Sinai Health System employees. His work with educators, health care providers, and scientists has allowed multi-cultural groups to efficiently build a shared ground of experiential knowledge, by introducing a fresh approach to the development of mindful leadership and interpersonal communication skills, including self-regulation of affect, stress reduction, emotional and conflict resolution mastery, through the practice of mindfulness meditation. Archimedes is an inspirational teacher, fluent in three languages, and has served as a keynote address and guest speaker for a number of organizations both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
