Jean Sébastien Brettes started a Vipassana meditation practice in 2004. Since then he has developed a daily practice and attends regular long term retreats in both Vipassana and Zen traditions.
When not leading workshops, Jean-Sébastien, who is married to Yoga teacher Celine Antoine, owns and runs an independent commercial production company. He also offers private meditation sessions. “These mental development tools are key to understanding, accepting and overcoming one’s own challenges and by doing so, promote a pathway to greater harmony and peace of mind,” Brettes said in a recent email to the Shelter Island Gazette. “Additionally and in the context of COVID-19, participants will learn and practice simple breathing techniques to help clear the mind, increase energy levels, reinforce the lungs and strengthen the immune system.” |
